Bob Sollmann

Bob is a Senior Advisor in Accenture’s North American Life Insurance practice providing advisory services across a broad array of industry issues. Before joining Accenture in 2013, Bob was an executive vice-president at MetLife where he led the annuities and retirement businesses. In that role, Bob’s responsibilities included product development and management, pricing, profitability, fund management, and customer service delivery; he had responsibility indirectly for marketing and distribution. Bob was also an advocate for retirement security in Washington with legislative and regulatory bodies. Prior to that, as head of the MetLife’s Retirement Strategies Group, Bob was responsible for focusing and driving the company's effort to capture the emerging retirement income opportunity. Working across the company's business units, he developed, tested, refined specific strategies, identified innovative cross-enterprise opportunities, and ensured execution of these strategies through the business units. Bob also led the MetLife’s group benefits business and built the company’s voluntary benefits business, where MetLife remains a leader with the broadest portfolio of product offerings. In addition, he had responsibility at MetLife for M&A and drove acquisitions totaling $30B globally. Bob has a B.A. in Economics from Bates College.
