Matt Perlman

Matt Perlman is an Advisory Partner of IA Capital Group. He joined the firm in 2018 and was formerly a Partner and member of the investment committee for 8 years. Matt is a Director of Delos, Driver Technologies, District Cover, Health Gorilla, reThought Insurance, and Frontier Risk. He has 17 years of financial services experience as an investor and advisor, most recently as a Principal with Fenway Summer Ventures, where he helped found the firm’s venture operations and led several early stage investments in financial technology companies. Prior to his tenure at Fenway Summer, Matt was an Associate at Lightyear Capital, where he was responsible for evaluating and conducting due diligence for private equity investments in banking, specialty finance, asset management and financial technology. Matt began his career at Citigroup Inc. in the investment bank, where he worked on M&A and capital raising transactions in the Financial Institutions Group and built statistical models for financial institutions in the Financial Strategy Group. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Affairs and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
