Matt Perlman

Matt Perlman is a Partner of IA Capital Group and joined the firm in 2018. He sources, evaluates and executes investment transactions for IA Capital and helps monitor its portfolio companies, and is a member of its investment committee. Matt is a Director of Certificial, Delos, Driver Technologies, LiftForward, reThought Insurance and serves as a Board Observer at Authentic4D, Health Gorilla and Protecht. He has 15 years of financial services experience as an investor and advisor, most recently as a Principal with Fenway Summer Ventures, where he helped found the firm’s venture operations and lead several early stage investments in financial technology companies. Prior to his tenure at Fenway Summer, Matt was an Associate at Lightyear Capital, where he was responsible for evaluating and conducting due diligence for private equity investments in banking, specialty finance, asset management and financial technology. Matt began his career at Citigroup Inc. in the investment bank, where he worked on M&A and capital raising transactions in the Financial Institutions Group and built statistical models for financial institutions in the Financial Strategy Group. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Affairs and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
